Anastasia - Grand Duchess - Hannah Alexander Design
The Grand Duchess Anastasia! This build was one that actually defeated me the first time, I had to put off finishing it for a whole year when I could’t get it done in time for RCCC 2017, and then the next year my life changed with chronic illness so, this build became the first big one I finished after being disgnosed. It ended up being proof to myself that I could still compete how I wanted to. Construction wise I learned a LOT about gradient dye with this one, there is only one fabric in this whole cosplay that wasn’t dyed in some way. Between that, hand stenciling/painting all the details, and all the rhinestones, it was all about fabric decoration at the end. My favorite part is the rhinestone sleeves, they just make me feel so fancy, that and the crown of course…..can you tell I like sparkles.
