Jane Porter is one of the 6 cosplays I made for a trip to Australia I made in 2013. She was made for a LARGE Kingdom Hearts/Disney group competing at Supanova Perth and was my very first Ballgown build which would lead to my OBSESSION with big dresses. I competed with her twice and didn’t win anything either time, but learned that I wanted to do more craftsmanship competitions and after this, I started pushing myself towards bigger builds.

Made completely from cotton using a modified Truly Victorian shirtwaist pattern and a draped skirt. This costume taught me a lot about sleeve shaped and how to insert them….because I messed them up about 4 times before the end. Fun fact: as of writing this in 2025 Jane is still in my closet and fully wearable, she even fits!
